地产集团二公子宋以昭为了争夺继承权、拿下夏天旅馆的拆迁同意书，遂隐瞒身份，住进了夏天旅馆的阁楼，成为夏南笙的房客。随着宋以昭的入住，旅馆经历了种种麻烦，高傲自大的宋以昭与大大咧咧的夏南笙之间，发生了一系列啼笑皆非的事情。 当宋以昭发现自己爱上夏南笙的时候，拆迁同意书已经被哥哥宋修获取，拆迁的挖掘机也已经开到了旅馆的门口，知道真相的夏南笙决定与宋以昭决裂......。Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game. When the railroad tries to run the last horse-drawn trolley (operated by his girl's grandfather) out of business, "Speedy" organizes the neighborhood oldtimers to thwart their scheme.。
